Camara termica para drones
DroneThermal is the first micro size & low cost analog (PAL/NTSC) thermal camera for small UAVs and surveillance
It is based on FLIR's revelutionary low cost 80x60 pixel Lepton camera cores.
Video frame rate and resolution is not much but the price is perfect for civilian small drone hobbyists.
Aslo it is fully legal because of <9hz thermal core design.
Click here for more information about FLIR Lepton thermal core:
There is a mode button, a Blue LED and a 6 pin 1.0mm pitch connector on back of DroneThermal cameras for settings and interaction.
DroneThermal cameras works with 3.3-5v power supplies over this pins. The maximum supply voltage is 5.5V. Input voltage regulator will be burned if you supply it with higher voltage. Please be careful when connect it to your power source.
Video Output of the camera (yellow wire) is standard analog video output(75Ω). So you can connect it to your monitor or video gears directly.
The mode button has 3 different role.
The white wire of the camera connector has connected to CON input of the camera.
This input accepts 3-5V digital (1 or 0) signal and acts like the MODE button for remote applications.
So, you can change the camera mode with a microcontroller or calibrate it with FFC.
(CON input can not enable the firmware update mdoe of the camera.)
The Blue LED is connected to CON Input of the camera with 1K resistor and it acts like a voltage limiter to protect the camera input.
These are the serial port of the camera module for firmware upgrade or serial features.
DroneThermal cameras are firmware upgradible devices and we will share firmwares with our customers if required.
The second role of these ports are NTSC / PAL selection of the camera.
Just shortcut the RX and TX cables and power on your camera. Your camera will detect the shortcut in startup sequence and change the camera video format from PAL to NTSC or NTSC to PAL.
We strongly suggests PAL because of higher vertical resolution of PAL format.
We sell DroneThermal cameras with 25° FOV version of FLIR Lepton® cameras instead of 50°.
If you have your own Lepton® core, you can buy the camera body only and plug your own core.
